Definitely A Cultural Difference
Coming from an Urban setting, the students had quite the culture shock when they visited the farms of the Amish in Millersburg, Ohio. They were kind enough to open their homes to our students and gave them hands on experience into what life is a simple, yet pleasant farmer.
The Students Visited a Candy Manufacturer Where They Learned How to Process Cheese- Hands On!
The students learned how to make handmade Chocolates! Mmm-mmm!
White Water Rafting!
After visiting the Amish families and the factory, and the restaurants and the farm- we decided to get our feet wet, so we went wild water rafting and canoing! We all had such a great time!
After the fun, it was back to learning! The kids learned how to assemble and operate submersible research submarines to use in lakes, streams, and ponds for water testing.
